What ARQ provides, how the marketplace is intended to work and what to expect before launch.
ARQ is in development. This website explains the planned service and accepts launch-update requests. Live repair requests and credit purchases are not available through this website. The marketplace provisions below describe the planned launch service; they do not make it available today.
1. Who we are
ARQ (Auto Repair Quotes) is operated by ARQ Systems LLC. We are building a marketplace that connects vehicle owners with independent repair shops, launching first in British Columbia.
2. ARQ’s role
Vehicle owners will be able to describe a repair need. Interested repair shops can choose to unlock a request and submit an estimate. Vehicle owners can compare the information and decide which shop to contact.
ARQ does not perform automotive repairs, enter into repair agreements on a shop’s behalf or process payment for repairs. Customers and shops arrange the scope of work, scheduling, warranties and payment directly. Confirm the work and the final price with the shop before authorizing repairs.
3. Estimates and outcomes
Estimates are supplied by independent repair shops and may depend on inspection, diagnosis, parts availability and other stated conditions. ARQ does not guarantee a particular number of estimates, response time, price, customer response or successful job. Illustrative product previews on this website are examples, not actual customer requests or shop offers.
4. Vehicle owners and repair shops
Vehicle owners will use ARQ free. Repair shops purchase credits to unlock requests they choose to pursue. Shops decide which opportunities fit their business and what estimates to offer. ARQ takes no percentage commission on repair bills.
Participants must provide accurate information, respect other users’ privacy and use request information only for legitimate repair discussions. Do not submit fake or duplicate requests, impersonate another person or shop, misuse contact information, harass users or attempt to interfere with the service.
5. ARQ credits and pricing
Planned prices are CAD $5.99 for 1 credit, CAD $49.99 for 12 credits and CAD $99.99 for 25 credits, plus applicable taxes. Taxes will be added at checkout when purchases open. Credit costs vary by repair request; shops will see the cost before unlocking.
Credits never expire. They are usable only inside ARQ, are nontransferable and are not a payment method between customers and shops. They cannot be traded or exchanged for cash outside the specific refunds described in our refund policy. Promotional credits have no cash refund value.
6. Credit delivery, refunds and account closure
Our credit-delivery policy explains digital wallet delivery and failed purchases or unlocks. Our refund policy explains the 14-day unused-paid-credit refund window, invalid-request remedies and other exceptions.
Voluntary account closure follows the same 14-day refund rule. Contact support before closing an account with a credit balance so that we can explain how the remaining balance will be treated before closure. Account closure does not create a separate change-of-mind refund entitlement after the 14-day window.
7. Launch updates and privacy
Requesting launch updates does not create a marketplace account, purchase credits or reserve access or work. Launch updates are optional, and you can withdraw consent at any time by emailing marian@arquotes.com. See our privacy policy for this prelaunch website.
8. Changes and applicable rights
We will update this page when these terms change. Before live marketplace services or purchases open, we will make the terms for those services available for review. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
